Instructions:

For the chocolate mousse cake, beat egg whites until stiff. Beat egg yolks with sugar until foamy, sift in cocoa powder and flour. Finally, gently fold in the egg whites.

Pour the batter into a springform pan lined with baking paper, smooth out and bake at 180 °C for approx. 40 minutes. Allow the cake base to cool and remove from the springform pan.

Remove baking paper and clamp the cake base back into the springform pan. For the mousse, beat the eggs with the sugar until foamy.

In another bowl, whip the whipped cream. Now stir the two together. Melt the dark and milk chocolate in a water bath and stir into the mixture as well.

Finally, prepare the gelatine according to the package instructions and fold it in. Now spread the mousse on the cake base, smooth it out and chill it. After 3-4 hours in the refrigerator, the mousse should be firm.
