For the cherry pancakes, mix wheat flour and baking powder and sift into a bowl. Drain the cherries over a bowl. To the flour and baking powder mixture, add the eggs and mix well.
Spoon in as much of the collected cherry juice and mix until you have a smooth slightly thick batter. Then add the drained cherries and fold in.
Heat the fat in a frying pan and slowly fry the pancakes in batches over low heat with the lid closed. Sprinkle the baked pancakes with powdered sugar and serve.
