For the cheese sticks, melt the butter. Roll out the puff pastry and spread with the butter. Grate Emmental and sprinkle over the dough.

Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top, press lightly with the palms of your hands, the ends more firmly with your fingers.

Cut 1cm wide strips from the puff pastry and untwist into spirals. Beat the egg and whisk with a fork. Brush the puff pastry spirals with whisked egg and bake in the oven preheated to 180° C for about 20 minutes.
