Instructions:

* Thin slices of bread, toasted in the oven.

Layer the cheese alternately with the bread in a suitable bowl. Pour the water over it and let it rest for 10 min. Then press the bread as well as the cheese firmly together and pour off the excess water.

Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat and pour in the bread and cheese. Cook for etrwa 2 min, stirring throughout, until the cheese is melted and the whole lot is shiny. Bring to the table very hot.
