Instructions:

For the Brabanter cookies, first knead all ingredients into a dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and let rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.

Then roll out the dough on a floured surface to the thickness of the back of a knife (approx. 1-2 mm) and cut out stars. Place them on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 °C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 8-10 minutes.

After cooling, turn half of the cookies over, spread with jam and stick together with the other half of the stars.

Finally, sprinkle the Brabanter cookies with a mixture of powdered sugar and some cinnamon.
