Instructions:

For the beer bread, first prepare the sourdough.

For the sourdough mix rye flour and lukewarm water and let it rest covered in a warm place for 12 hours.

For the dough, dissolve yeast and salt in 3 tablespoons of the dark beer until bubbles form. Mix sourdough mixed with wheat flour and the remaining dark beer and knead for 8 minutes.

Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours. Transfer the dough without further kneading directly into the Philips Airfryer hot air fryer baking pan or shape into a loaf and place on baking paper in the wire rack.

Bake the bread dough in the non-preheated Philips Airfryer hot air fryer at 200 °C for 5 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 180 °C and bake for another 25 minutes.

Brush the beer bread with a little water from time to time so that a shiny crust can form.
