Instructions:

First, peel and chop the onions and fry them in plenty of lard until golden brown.

Stir in a little tomato paste, reduce the heat, add the paprika powder and mix well.

Pour in warm soup or water. Increase the heat again and season with salt, pepper, cumin, marjoram, garlic, a bay leaf and some fresh chili pepper.

Let everything cook vigorously for about 30 minutes, uncovered, and then reduce the heat.

Salt the goulash meat and add it without browning.

Let everything simmer on low heat for about 3 hours, adding cold water whenever necessary.

Finally, mix a little flour and water and thicken the goulash.
