Sift the pea flour and wheat flour together with the salt into a large enough bowl. Then add the onions and enough water to make a firm but still malleable dough.
Cover the dough with a dishcloth and let it stand for at least an hour. Then divide the dough into 12 pieces, form them into balls and roll them out on a floured board until they are as flat as a 5-mark piece.
Roast these patties in a dry, hot frying pan (preferably in an iron pan), one after the other, for 6-8 minutes each. Keep moving the pan and turn the patties to the other side every 2 minutes.
Afterwards, brush the finished bread with 1 tablespoon melted butter each, let it soak in and bring it to the table while it is still hot.
