Avocado Spread with Smoked Salmon

Peel the avocado, cut in half, remove the pit and sprinkle with a small amount of juice from a lemon to prevent the two halves from turning brown. Push the avocado pieces through a coarse kitchen sieve or mash them with a fork. Cut the smoked salmon into fine cubes. Finely chop the garlic, chili pepper and cilantro leaves. Mix the cream cheese with the olive oil until smooth and mix thoroughly with the remaining ingredients. Season with salt.

It goes best with a fresh baguette or possibly a farmer’s rye bread.
