Instructions:

Peel the asparagus and cut into 4 cm long pieces.

Blanch the asparagus in boiling salted water for 3 minutes, adding sugar and butter. Drain and drain well.

Mix sugar with soy sauce and oil.

Place the asparagus in a large enough bowl, pour the sauce over it and let it stand for 20 minutes with the lid closed.
