Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grease the muffin pan wells or line with paper baking cups.

Crumble: In a baking bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, flour and butter and knead into a dough.

In a small baking bowl, mix the dry ingredients, i.e. baking soda, baking powder, flour, and cinnamon together thoroughly.

In another baking bowl, beat the egg and mix lightly. Add the sugar, oil, rum or whisky, yogurt, sour cream and apple pieces and mix well. Last but not least, add the dry ingredients and gently fold until wet. Pour the batter 3/4 of the way into the muffin pan cavities. “Crumble” a few sprinkles onto each piece of batter. Bake at 180 °C on middle rack for 20-25 min.

Tip: Use creamy natural yogurt for an even finer result!
