For the apple-chocolate cake, separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Beat the yolks, soft butter and powdered sugar until creamy, melt the chocolate and mix in. Mix in flour and baking powder as well.

Peel the apples, remove the core and grate finely. Stir in the apples well, then carefully fold in the snow.

Pour the dough into a greased and floured springform pan (24 cm). Bake in the oven at 180 °C top/bottom heat for approx. 45 minutes.

Allow the apple-chocolate cake to cool, remove from the pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar as desired.
