For the apple-potato salad, boil the potatoes with skin in salted water for about 30 minutes until cooked. Drain, peel and cut into cubes.

Melt the bacon in a pan and heat with onion, sugar, vinegar and Worcester sauce and bring to a boil. Stir in oil, Tabasco, salt and pepper.

Pour the sauce over the potato cubes and let everything cool down. Quarter and core the apples and cut into small wedges.

Then put the apple wedges in a bowl with water and lemon juice to prevent them from discoloring.

Just before serving, add the apple wedges to the rest of the salad and mix everything together.

Arrange the apple and potato salad and serve.
