A cake recipe for all foodies:

Prepare flour, fat pieces and sugar into crumbles with a fork. Quickly knead in 2/3 cup cold water with chilled hands. Wrap dough in aluminum foil and place in refrigerator for 30 min. In the meantime, remove peel from apples, core and cut into wedges. Separate eggs and whip egg whites to stiff peaks. Add sugar for 2 minutes, then fold in curd cheese, custard powder and yolks. Line a greased baking tray with the short pastry, pour the curd mixture over it, spread the apple slices evenly over the cream and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake the apple pie at 180 degrees (gas mark 2) for 50 minutes.
