For the baked pears, first preheat the oven to 220 °C. Wash and core the pears and cut them into wedges.

Layer the pear wedges in an ovenproof dish. Spread the bacon slices on top. Then top with cheese slices (or grated cheese) of your choice. Gorgonzola, Brie, Camembert or raclette cheese go very well with pears.

Bake in a hot oven for about 20-30 minutes. The baked pears should be soft, but not completely disintegrate.
