A great cake recipe for any occasion:
Chop the Baumkuchen and rhubarb into small cubes. In a baking bowl, combine almond kernels, rhubarb and cubed Baumkuchen.
Stir sugar, eggs, whipped cream and vanilla pulp with a whisk, pour through a fine sieve onto the rhubarb mixture, cook in a buttered gratin dish in the stove at 170 degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes. Divide into portions for serving.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla or nougat ice cream and a vanilla cream sauce.
