Mix room temperature cream cheese, butter, sugar, 1 pinch of salt and vanilla sugar with the dough hook of the mixer until smooth. Beat in 2 egg yolks in order. Briefly fold in flour and knead with hands until smooth. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours.

For the filling, clean the plums, remove the seeds and dice 1/2 cm in size. Finely dice dried plums. Roast almond kernels in a frying pan without fat and cool. Divide dough in half and roll each out to 25×20 cm on a floured work surface. 3.

Place one sheet of dough on a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread jam on top, leaving a 1 cm border free all around. Sprinkle with plums, dried plums and almond kernels. Place the other pastry sheet on top of the filling and press the edges well smooth.

Prick several times with a fork. Mix 1 egg yolk and 1 tbsp water, spread on the dough and sprinkle with sugar.

4. bake in the heated oven at 200 °C (convection oven 180 °C ) on the lowest shelf for 25 minutes.
