For the beet salad, wash the beets and steam them for about 2 hours. Peel the beets and cut into thin slices. Peel the horseradish and cut into fine slices.

Boil vinegar with water, cumin, salt and horseradish and pour over sliced beets. Mix well and let marinate for at least 2 hours, stirring frequently.

Before serving, remove the horseradish from the beet salad.
