Instructions:

For the vanilla apple cake, first line the bottom of a springform pan with baking paper and grease the edges.

Mix all the ingredients for the batter, pour into the pan and place in the cold oven. Set the temperature to 200 °C and pre-bake the cake for 20 minutes.

In the meantime, for the cream, beat the egg whites until stiff. Mix and heat the remaining ingredients (do not let them get too hot!) and carefully fold in the snow.

Peel the apples, cut out the core and slice the flesh. Sprinkle with a little lemon juice and roll in sugar.

Place the apple slices on the pastry. Spread the cream over it and bake the vanilla apple cake for another 40 minutes in the preheated oven.
