For the banana bread, bring rum and raisins to a boil in a saucepan and let stand for an hour. Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. With a mixer, mix the melted butter, sugar and vanilla sugar. Add one egg at a time. Add the bananas, crushed with a fork. With a wooden spoon, fold in the flour and chocolate. Optionally, you can also mix in nuts. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake the banana bread at 170°C for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
