Cut snap beans diagonally into fine strips or clean bean pods and break into pieces. Peel the potatoes and cut into cubes. Peel and finely dice onion.

Sauté onion cubes in butter, add beans, potatoes and bacon and pour so much water that everything is well covered. Add salt, let it boil and simmer at low temperature for about 20 min. Take out the bacon and cut it into strips.

Core the pears and cut into eighths, add to the beans form and simmer gently for another 5-10 min. Add bacon strips repeatedly. Season with savory, salt and pepper and bring to the table.

Our tip: Use a deliciously spicy bacon for a delicious touch!
