For this very quick sauce, throw the prepared gnocchi or the spaghetti into the boiling water. While they are making, rub the sage leaves just a little bit with your fingers or a paper towel, do not rinse them. Gently heat the butter in a small pan and briefly sizzle the sage leaves in it.
Pour the sage butter over the finished gnocchi or spaghetti in a saucepan or baking dish and mix well.
Serve the pasta with enough freshly grated Parmesan, salt and pepper (from the mill, of course).
