Onion Soup with Sausage

Instructions:

Remove the skin from the onions, halve them and cut them into slices. Heat oil in a saucepan. Add onions and sauté, turning several times, until translucent, approx. 10 min.

Dust onions with flour and sauté while stirring. Extinguish with a good 3/4 liter of water. Bring to a boil, stir in clear soup. Cover and simmer at low temperature for about 10 minutes.

Cut sausage into slices. Add to soup with cheese. Stir and simmer until cheese is melted. Season soup with cumin, pepper, salt and wine. Rinse parsley, chop and sprinkle on top.

Serve with pretzels.

Extra tips:

Other sausages, e.g. Frankfurter, Krakauer or diced sausage spread leftovers, are also suitable as soup ingredients.

Instead of normal onions, the soup can also be prepared with vegetable onions. They are a little more moderate.
