Rinse and dry the zucchini, trim the stem ends and cut the fruit into cubes of about 2 cm. Finely dice the garlic, crush with salt and pepper, add to the zucchini cubes.
Cut the ham into cubes, fry in the oil, lift out of the fat with a slotted spoon and set aside. Sauté the zucchini cubes on all sides in the ham fat. Add the vegetable soup and sage, steam everything together with the lid closed at a low temperature for 15 minutes.
Stir the whipped cream with the paprika powder, mix it into the zucchini, evaporate a little liquid in the open saucepan at low temperature.
Serve the zucchini with the ham cubes and the chive rolls.
Serve with baguette.
