Instructions:

Soak the barley in cold water for 2 hours. Melt the butter in a large saucepan, add the peeled and chopped onion, the peeled and sliced carrot and the chopped celery and cook at low temperature for 10 minutes until soft. Add the ham cut into strips, the barley, the poultry broth and the bay leaf seasoning and let the soup simmer for about an hour and a half with the lid closed. Finally, mix in the whipped cream and grated Parmesan cheese and season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove the bay spice and bring the soup to the table hot.

Tip: Always use an aromatic ham, it will give a wonderful touch to your dish!
