First, pour the whipping cream into a large bowl or churn.

Stir for about 10 minutes. During this time, the liquid separates from the fats, which turn slightly yellow.

Continue mixing for another 10 minutes, depending on consistency, then remove the butter from the bowl with clean, cold-rinsed hands and squeeze firmly.

Fill a bowl with ice-cold water and squeeze the butter in the water until no milky liquid comes out. The better the butter is washed, the longer it will keep.

Finally, press the butter into a mold and store in the refrigerator.
