For the cherry brownies, drain the cherries in a sieve. Stir jam until smooth and stir in cherries. Preheat oven to 175 degrees.

Roughly chop the dark chocolate and melt it with the butter in a warm water bath. Chop the white chocolate. Separate the eggs. Beat egg whites to snow.

Beat egg yolks with sugar, salt and vanilla sugar until foamy. Stir in melted chocolate. Gradually add the flour with baking powder. Fold in the beaten egg whites.

Finally, add the white chocolate pieces. Pour the batter into the baking pan lined with baking paper. Spread cherry jam in blobs and bake for about 40 minutes.

Remove and let cool. Dust the cherry brownies with powdered sugar.
