Instructions:

For the currant slices, the yolks, water and sugar are first whisked until foamy. Then add the butter.

Now mix the baking powder with the flour and add to the dough alternately with the milk.

Spread the dough on a baking tray (28×40) lined with baking paper.

Then whip the egg whites and carefully add the sugar and beat until the whipped egg whites are completely firm.

Now just fold in the currant and spread the mixture on the dough. Bake the currant slices at approx. 170 °C for 40 minutes.
